Well designed - if rigorous - ear training! I dont have a naturally good ear so it takes me repeated practice with some exercises. I do see progress over time. The app is effective but best for those who dont mind keeping at it to get results!

This app is really helping me listen and hear small differences in pitch which is what I wanted!
This is an amazing app! Perfect for any skill level regarding ear training! It has everything that you need to sharpen your ear. One thing I noticed thats kinda annoying is that the buttons you have to touch to replay each interval individually before you pick which one is the correct answer are too small. So far thats the only thing Ive noticed, and Ive been playing for 2 weeks ( about 30 minutes to an hour a day)
Im currently using his app to help with my musicianship class at Berklee, and it works wonderfully. Essentially a mini course in ear training. The people complaining in the other reviews are mostly annoyed that they cant do well in the exercises. While its easy to try to blame the iPhones speakers, its really just a matter of practice, and this app is perfect for that exact practice.
I love this app but there is one major flaw that needs to be addressed before I change my rating. The Minor Tenth and Major Tenth are both recognized as minor in a number of the interval training exercises! It is an error. Please fix this problem because this app is great otherwise!!
I can finally hear the tones !!!
I cant imagine how much more I would have gotten out of my over-priced private school education if I had an app like this back then
Cant beat the price
I certainly experience noticeable improvement on my listening ability. There could be more identify exercises though. Comparison is good but its definitely more practical to have ability to tell an interval or a chord, pitch. Absolute pitch identification would be nice too.
Please please please make the interval identification have more sections. Im still stuck on thirds after more than a year. This app was SO helpful on learning 2nds that I wish it could help me on 3rds but doing 2nds and 3rds together harmonically is just too much at once. Doing them separate and then together would be the best!!! <previous review> Im a professional musician but have always had trouble with identifying intervals, especially harmonically. With a brief daily practice using this app I can now consistently identify the difference between m2 and M2 harmonically and m2, M2, m3, and M3 melodically! I wish this app had identifying harmonic thirds by themselves before combining with seconds because my ears are getting overwhelmed but that is my only wish to improve the app. The addition of the melodic aspect is great.
I recommend this app for people who wants to improve skills and ear work. A+++
I use this almost daily
This software is really helpful! It is fluid and very user-friendly. Also its very in-depth. I cant wait to see how this will affect my live situations.
It does what it claims: To provide all the tools and support needed for music ear training. It does this very well.
Has a surprisingly large number of options with which to train with. Very easy interface as well, and the interactive piano at the bottom of exercises is a god send.
Easy to open and use on iPhone. Spend a couple of minutes on a variety of different exercises and youll find fast improvement.
Really useful to find out the intervals you struggle with.
This is one of the best apps I have ever used for ear training , and it really is a great price I highly advise that you buy this so you can practice when your on the go , this app makes it really easy for you to train . My progression with music has increased a lot with the help of this app.
I was playing the game and I came across that the notes do not match. For example, the notes could be C,D, and C# but what they say is the note is E, F and Eb. Its highly annoying.
This app is just that. The exercises are straightforward and easy to follow. The progressing in difficulty of exercises keeps them interesting and challenging. Though Ive been studying music full time and working on my ear for about four years now, I still have trouble working my way through some of the exercises. I had the free app and was excited to upgrade to the full app. The only thing I could imagine improving the app is customizable exercises. Regardless, this is an incredibly useful tool for developing ones musical ear.
